Science
Doing science investigations are fun, interesting and serious, as I don't know what is going to happen.
In year 5, they learn about the Solar System, which includes the Sun, eight plants, moons and other objects. They learn about the geocentric model, which placed Earth at the centre, and the heliocentric model, which places the Sun at the centre. They also learn that planets orbit the Sun and the Earth rotates on its axis, causing day and night.
We follow the Developing Experts scheme of work across the school.
