We learn about the importance of Remembrance Day and celebrate through focused activities within provision. The children could decorate poppies through mark making, finger painting or tissue paper collage art. They could colour in poppies, count poppies on ten frames, continue simple poppy patterns and build poppies out of cubes. The children understand that purple poppies are also worn to remember the animals, so we represented both colours through our creations. We finished our celebrations with biscuit decorating.
