Dough Disco - Fine Motor

The children have started Dough Disco. The purpose of this is to connect their fingers to their brain and to strengthen the muscles in their hands ready for their writing. They have learnt a range of moves so far, such as: squeeze it, ball it, pat it, sausage and dive. They have even taken their fingers to the dough disco dance floor, meeting Tommy Thumb, Peter Pointer, Toby Tall, Ruby Ring and Baby Small – the best groover of them all!

The children are really engaged in our dough disco sessions, and you can see the improvements in each session. The children's confidence is growing with the moves and the children are finding increasing strength and control with the different movements. They are very excited about the disco songs, once they have learned all the moves.
