2026 Joe Wicks Mental Health Week
We decided as a school to take part in the Joe Wicks' mental health week webinar. A headteacher from a primary school somewhere in the UK introduced the webinar by talking about the link between mental health and exercise. She then introduced Joe Wicks. 6000 schools – that's over 1 million children joined the webinar. First he talked about how exercise releases endorphins which can make you feel happier and help your mental health. He told us that keeping your mind healthy is just as important as keeping your body healthy. He then showed us some exercise we can do to help us keep fit in our body and mind. We joined in and we were very tired by the end. As we cooled down, we had the opportunity to ask questions through the chat. There were so many questions that we can't be sure he specifically answered ours, but what he said did answer some of the questions asked from year 2. It was so much fun. We hope we get the opportunity to do it again next year.
