A big part of Reception is our termly stay and play sessions. These are an hour long. It is a great opportunity for you as parents/carers to spend some time in the classroom environment with your child. You can complete activities with them and explore all the areas that the children spend their continuous provision time in. We open outside as much as the weather permits it. They can be themed.

For our first stay and play session of the year, we had activities out to support our weekly focus text – Elmer. This was so that parents could see just how the children had been settling in, growing in confidence with accessing the areas and the resources and to show off their amazing learning skills so far in Reception.
