Stop Go Animation
We explored what the word 'animation' means. We then talked about how animation like Wallace and Gromit are made by using stop, go animation. We watched a video of how to make a flip book. Miss Weall then demonstrated how to make a flip book by drawing a ball. On each page we had to draw the same size ball but change its position slightly each time. When we flipped the pages of the book it looked like the ball was moving. Next, we chose a space background and a spacecraft. In pairs, we practised how we were going to move our spacecraft. Finally, we used a program on the Ipad called Stop Go Motion. One person in the pair moved the spacecraft slightly and the other person took the photo on the Ipad. Most of us took between 20 and 30 photos. When the play was clicked on the program, it linked all our photos to create an animation. We all thought this was cool.
