I love creating things and seeing what I can do with all the materials I have.

Spring 2026

Year 4 have been creating pavilions using lolly pop sticks. They have designed their structure and used triangles to add strength and to make their structure stable. They then added cladding to cover their structure, using an animal and habitat theme.  

 

Summer 2025

Year 5 have been designing and making pop-up books, based on traditional tales.

We follow the Kapow design and technology scheme across the school.

Across pairs of year groups, Year 1 and Year 2; Year 3 and Year 4; Year 5 and Year 6, pupils will cover the strands of:

• Cooking and nutrition
• Mechanical systems
• Textiles
• Electrical systems
• Structures
• Digital world
